Custom Gutenberg systems, scalable CMS platforms, and performance-driven builds.
I build scalable WordPress platforms for marketing teams, with a focus on Gutenberg-based content systems, performance, and long-term maintainability. Over 14 years in agency environments, I've led projects from concept to launch, working closely with designers, marketers, and stakeholders to build things teams can actually use without developer dependency. I have a background in art direction and bring that design sensibility into everything I create.
Selected Work
A selection of projects focused on complex UI, custom CMS functionality, and scalable WordPress systems.
This was a tight design-to-development collaboration between the designer and me. I built a custom footnote system, using shortcodes to launch inline tooltip popovers throughout the content, something WordPress doesn't do natively.
farmforward.comBuilt a real-time mortgage calculator with complex conditional logic, simple enough for non-technical users to understand instantly.
keystohomenj.org/mortgage-calculatorThis is a full web application for contractor management, with role-based permissions, approval workflows, and fund tracking, built inside WordPress. I built it entirely at the theme level, with no plugins handling core logic, stretching WordPress well beyond what it's typically used for. Users never see the WordPress backend.
portal.agma.glassI was the technical lead on this site for about ten years, through a major acquisition and a full rebrand from Trifacta. That included migrating hundreds of pages and custom post types from Sitecore to WordPress. Built the Marketo and product API registration flow, while maintaining continuity of the codebase and institutional knowledge through multiple transitions.
alteryx.comSole technical resource for a UN program for many years, building campaign sites including 1000 Women Leaders and Peace Is. The CMS systems I built let a global communications team handle day-to-day updates without developer support.
wphfund.orgCompliance-focused build for a legal nonprofit operating under the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania with strict accessibility standards and content governance.
paiolta.orgThis is one of five Habitat for Humanity websites I've built over the years. Each one has a custom theme with unique functionality, but they all share a similar design motif.
habitatphiladelphia.orgHow I Build
I build things the way I'd want to inherit them, with clean theme-level code, a lean, deliberate plugin stack, and systems a non-developer can actually run day to day. My goal is to empower content managers with the creative freedom they need to build out their site while having guardrails so every choice they make looks and performs with excellence for the end user.
I've also spent years as the technical lead on client engagements, mentoring other developers and setting technical direction across concurrent projects.
